Boni was a small, fluffy rabbit who lived in a bright green meadow under the wide blue sky. Boni had one very special thing: he felt everything very, very big. Sometimes, his feelings felt like the sun shining warmly on his fur. Other times, his feelings were like a storm with loud thunder and heavy rain. Boni didn’t know what to do with all these big feelings. They made his heart jump and sometimes made him feel very, very small inside.

One sunny morning, Boni woke up feeling a happiness so big it made him want to smile all day long. The warmth was like the soft sun on a spring morning. He hopped around the meadow, smelling the flowers and watching the butterflies dance in the air. “Oh, this happy feeling feels so good,” thought Boni, his nose twitching happily. But then, suddenly, a big cloud hid the sun, and he felt a sadness as big as a dark storm. The rain started to fall, and Boni’s heart felt heavy, like he was carrying a big, wet sack. “Why do my feelings feel so big and heavy?” he wondered. That day, Boni felt happy, sad, and even angry, all in a short time. He didn’t know why his feelings were so strong or how to make them calm down.

Boni sometimes wished he could be as small as a little ant. “Maybe if I were tiny,” he thought, “my big feelings wouldn’t feel so big.” Other times, he dreamed of having a special box where he could put all his feelings away, so he would not have to think about them anymore. But no matter what he wished for, the feelings stayed inside him, like big waves in a stormy sea. Boni felt like he was floating all alone in space, with no one to help him understand what to do.

One day, Boni decided to visit his best friend, Cremita. Cremita was a soft, warm little cat who always listened very carefully. Boni had never told anyone about his big feelings before, but he needed to share them. When Boni arrived, Cremita was waiting with a gentle smile. Boni sat beside her and whispered, “Cremita, sometimes my feelings are so big, I don’t know what to do. When I’m happy, I want to jump to the sky, but when I am sad or angry, I feel lost and alone.” He looked at her with big, worried eyes.

Cremita nuzzled him softly and said, “Boni, you are very brave for telling me how you feel.” Her voice was calm and kind. “It’s okay to feel all these big things. You don’t have to hide your feelings or try to put them away. Sometimes, feelings are like waves. They come and go, and it’s good to watch them and let them pass.” Boni took a deep breath and listened carefully. He liked the way Cremita’s words made his heart feel less heavy.

Cremita continued, “When you feel too big inside, it helps to talk about it or even just sit quietly and think about what is making you feel that way. You don’t have to be afraid of your feelings—they show that you care about things. And remember, I am here with you. You are not alone.” Boni smiled a little. He felt a bit lighter already.

They sat together in the sunshine, and Cremita gave Boni a warm hug. “Having a friend that listens,” she said softly, “feels like a warm fire on a cold night, or like a cup of chocolate that’s sweet and cozy inside.” Boni thought about that and felt a gentle, happy warmth growing in his chest. It was different from the big, strong feelings—this warmth was calm and soft.

After their talk, Boni felt a little more ready to face his feelings. He understood that it was okay to feel big happiness, big sadness, and even big anger. He also learned that talking about feelings helps them become smaller and easier to handle. Boni remembered something else Cremita said: “When the volcano inside you feels ready to erupt with anger, try to take a deep breath, and count to three before you say or do something. You can tell me or someone you trust how you feel too.”

From that day on, Boni tried to share his feelings with Cremita and even with the birds and the flowers in the meadow. Sometimes he would say, “I feel very happy today!” and sometimes, “I feel a little sad and I don’t know why.” Cremita would listen and smile, and Boni would feel the warm fire of friendship grow inside him.

Boni also started to notice that feelings come and go like the weather. Some days are sunny and some days are stormy. But just like the sun always comes back after the rain, happiness would return after sadness or anger. Boni felt more confident knowing that feelings don’t last forever—they change and move on, just like the clouds in the sky.

One afternoon, Boni and Cremita sat under a tall tree. Boni said softly, “Thank you for helping me, Cremita. I don’t feel so scared of my big feelings anymore.” Cremita purred happily and said, “You are a special friend, Boni. Remember, you are never alone with your feelings. And I will always be here to listen.”
