Once upon a time, in the cheerful town of Willow Creek, there lived a young girl named Divany. Divany was a bright and kind-hearted student who attended Willow Creek Elementary School. She had long, curly hair that bounced as she walked, and her smile could light up even the cloudiest of days. But despite her cheerful disposition, Divany often faced challenges at school.
Every morning, as she walked to school, Divany felt a mix of excitement and anxiety. The school was full of laughter and joy, but it also had its share of difficulties. Some of the older kids would tease her for her clumsiness and her tendency to get nervous during presentations. It made her feel small and alone, and sometimes, she wished she could just stay home and hide.
Divany had a group of friends who always tried to support her. There was Carol, her best friend since kindergarten, who had short hair and a knack for making people laugh. Peter was a smart boy with glasses who loved to read books about adventure. Jake was full of energy, always wearing his favorite red t-shirt, and loved to play sports. And then there was Junior, the youngest of the group, who was always eager to tag along and look up to the older kids.
One day, Divany faced one of her biggest challenges yet. The school had announced a talent show, and every student was encouraged to participate. Divany had a passion for singing, but the thought of performing in front of the whole school made her stomach twist into knots. «What if I mess up?» she thought. «What if everyone laughs at me?»
That afternoon, Divany sat under her favorite tree in the schoolyard, feeling sorry for herself. Carol soon found her there. «Hey, Divany! What’s wrong?» she asked, plopping down beside her. «You look like you’ve just seen a ghost!»
Divany sighed and explained her fears about the talent show. «I really want to sing, but I’m so scared of making a mistake. What if nobody likes it?»
Carol shook her head vigorously. «You’re an amazing singer! Remember last year when you sang at the spring festival? Everyone loved it! You just need to believe in yourself!»
Divany appreciated her friend’s encouragement, but the doubts lingered. Just then, Peter and Jake joined them, curious about what was happening. «Why the long faces?» Jake asked, bouncing on his feet.
Divany hesitated but then shared her worries about the talent show. Peter adjusted his glasses thoughtfully. «I understand how you feel, Divany. I get nervous too, especially when I have to present in front of the class. But maybe we can help each other practice!»
Divany’s eyes lit up at the idea. «Really? You guys would do that for me?»
«Of course!» Carol chimed in. «We can all perform together! What if we make it a group act? We could do a fun song and dance!»
The idea sparked excitement in Divany’s heart. They decided to meet after school every day to practice for the talent show. As the week went by, their friendship grew stronger as they laughed, danced, and encouraged one another. They learned the lyrics to a catchy song and even created a fun dance routine.
However, just when things were looking up, Divany faced another setback. A few days before the talent show, she caught a cold. With a sore throat and sniffles, she was worried she wouldn’t be able to sing at all. «This can’t be happening!» she groaned, feeling defeated.
But her friends were determined to help her recover. Carol made her a warm bowl of soup, while Peter brought over some interesting books to read, hoping to distract her from her worries. Jake and Junior organized a little movie night with popcorn to lift Divany’s spirits.
«Don’t worry, Divany. We’ll get through this together!» Jake said, grinning.
The love and support from her friends made Divany feel much better. Slowly, she recovered from her cold, but she was still nervous about performing. On the night of the talent show, she stood backstage, feeling butterflies dancing in her stomach.
Carol held her hand. «Just remember, we’re all in this together. No matter what happens, we’re proud of you!»
