One bright and sunny morning, four friends—Peter, Linda, Pepe, and Lucas—set off on an adventure. They were all tourists, visiting the beautiful mountains together. Each of them was excited to explore and see all the tall trees, big rocks, and winding trails.

Peter, the oldest, led the way. He wore his blue jacket and had a big map in his hands. “I know exactly where we’re going,” Peter said confidently. Linda, with her blonde pigtails and pink sweater, smiled and followed behind him. Pepe, who loved nature and had curly black hair, wore his green hoodie and carried a small backpack. He liked looking at the birds and the flowers along the path. Lucas, the youngest, wore a bright yellow jacket and was always ready to run ahead, full of energy.

The friends were having a great time. They laughed and pointed at the tall trees, listening to the birds singing above them. The mountain air was fresh, and the sunlight made everything look shiny and bright.

“We’re going to see the best view at the top of the mountain,” Peter said as they walked.

But after a while, something strange happened. The path they were following started to twist and turn, and the trees looked bigger than before. The trail became steeper, and soon, they couldn’t see where they had come from.

“I think we might be lost,” said Linda, her eyes wide as she looked around.

Peter stopped and looked at the map. He turned it one way, then another, but the map didn’t seem to match what they were seeing. The tall trees, the rocks, the winding path—they all looked the same!

“I thought I knew the way,” Peter said, scratching his head.

Pepe, always calm and thoughtful, looked around. “Don’t worry. We can figure this out together,” he said. “Maybe we should try and find a clue.”

Lucas, who was jumping around excitedly, pointed at a big rock. “Look! There’s something written on that rock!”

The friends hurried over to the rock, where there were some strange markings. Pepe bent down and looked closely.

“These look like directions!” he said. “It says, ‘Follow the path where the sun shines the brightest.’”

They all looked up at the sky. The sun was high above them, but one side of the trail seemed to have more light shining through the trees.

“That must be the way!” said Linda.

So, the friends decided to follow the sunlit path. They walked carefully, making sure to stay close together. As they went further, they saw more signs—little carvings on trees and more markings on rocks. Each sign pointed them in the right direction.

“This is fun!” Lucas said, skipping ahead. “It’s like a treasure hunt!”

As they continued, the trail started to look different. The trees became shorter, and the path was less steep. They could hear the sound of a stream flowing nearby, and birds chirped happily in the trees.

“We must be getting closer to the right way,” Peter said, feeling more confident.
