Hello! My name is Leo. This is my family. I have a big family. I have my mum, my dad, my grandpa, my grandma, my little brother Max, and my sister Luna. We all live together in a cozy house. I like my family very much. I like to play with them and laugh a lot.

One sunny day, the sky was bright and blue. The birds were singing sweet songs. I woke up early and felt happy. I wanted to play outside. I looked around, but I could not see my family. «Where is everyone?» I asked.

I decided to find everyone so we could play together. I went to the kitchen first. The kitchen is where we cook yummy food. When I opened the door, I saw my mum. She was busy cooking. The smell of cookies was in the air.

«Hello, Mum!» I said, smiling. «Can you play with me?»

Mum looked at me and smiled back. «Not now, Leo,» she said gently. «I am cooking. The cookies need to bake.»

I nodded. I wanted to wait but I knew Mum needed to cook. I said, «Okay, Mum. I will find someone else.» Then I left the kitchen.

Next, I went to the garage. The garage is where Dad keeps the car and his tools. When I pushed the door open, I saw Dad working. He was fixing the car’s tire. His hands had some oil spots, and he wore his big blue cap.

«Hello, Dad!» I called. «Can you play with me?»

Dad looked up and smiled. «Not now, Leo,» he said kindly. «I am fixing the car. It will be ready soon.»

I felt a little sad but I understood. I said, «Okay, Dad.» Then I walked out of the garage.

I went to the living room. The living room is where we watch TV and sit on the big sofa. Grandpa was sitting in his favorite chair. He had a big book open on his lap.

«Hello, Grandpa!» I said happily. «Can you play with me?»

Grandpa looked at me with kind eyes. «Not now, Leo,» he said softly. «I am reading my book. It’s a very good story today.»

I smiled and nodded. I did not want to bother Grandpa. I said, «Okay, Grandpa.» Then I went out of the room.

I walked slowly to the garden. The garden is full of green plants, colorful flowers, and butterflies. Grandma was there. She was watering the flowers. Water splashed on her boots, and the flowers danced in the sunshine.

«Hello, Grandma!» I called. «Can you play with me?»

Grandma looked at me and smiled. «Not now, Leo,» she said sweetly. «I am watering the flowers. They need water to grow.»

I felt a tiny pinch in my heart. No one could play with me! I felt a little sad. I said, «Okay, Grandma.» Then I walked back inside.

I went to my bedroom. My little brother Max was there. He was playing with colorful blocks. Max is a baby. He loves to make noises and smile.

«Can I play, Max?» I asked softly.

Max looked at me and said, «Goo goo!»

He was too little to play like me. I laughed a bit and sat down next to him. I looked around the room and felt lonely.
