One sunny Saturday morning, Daniel, Lourdes, and Johana were sitting on the front steps of Daniel’s house. The weather was perfect for an adventure, and they were all excited because they had a big task ahead of them. Their mum had given them a list of things to buy, and it was no small order.
“Alright, team!” said Daniel, waving the shopping list in the air. “We have a mission today, and we need to be prepared! We’ve got to buy yoghurt and milk, dog food, a new pair of jeans and a jumper, a book for school, 1kg of bread rolls, a quarter of bread, a dozen facturas, a tennis racket, and six tickets to the museum! And… we don’t even know where to go yet!”
Lourdes, who always liked to think things through, squinted at the list. “That’s a lot of stuff to buy. Where are we even going to get all of this from?” she asked, frowning slightly. “We need to be smart about this.”
“I have an idea!” Johana said, grinning. “Let’s start by organizing the list. We know where some of these things come from. The milk and yoghurt are from the supermarket, and the dog food is from the pet shop. So those are the first two stops!”
Daniel nodded excitedly. “That’s right! And we can get the jeans and jumper from the clothing store, the book from the bookshop, and then head to the bakery for the bread and facturas! It’s simple if we just break it down like that!”
With their plan in place, the three friends set out on their journey. First stop: the supermarket. As they walked to the store, Daniel bounced ahead with enthusiasm. “I can’t wait to get the yoghurt! It’s my favorite snack!”
When they entered the supermarket, the shelves were lined with all sorts of dairy products. Lourdes grabbed the yoghurt and milk, placing them carefully in their cart. “Perfect! That’s done,” she said with a satisfied smile.
Afterward, they headed to the pet shop, where they picked up a large bag of dog food for their neighbor’s dog, Max. Johana loved animals, so she was especially happy to help with this. “Max will be so happy with his food,” Johana said, grinning.
Next, they went to the clothing store. Daniel needed new jeans, and Lourdes was in search of a jumper for the cooler weather. “Look at this!” Daniel shouted, holding up a pair of blue jeans. “These look perfect!”
Lourdes found a cozy red jumper, and the two of them hurried to the checkout. “Great! Let’s keep going,” said Lourdes, feeling proud of their progress.
Now it was time for the bookshop. Johana, who loved reading, was especially excited about this stop. “I hope they have that new adventure book I wanted!” she said, walking quickly through the aisles. After a bit of searching, Johana found the perfect book for her school reading list. “Found it!” she exclaimed.
With the book in hand, the group made their way to the bakery. The delicious smell of freshly baked bread filled the air as they entered. The bakery was warm and inviting. “Mmm, the bread here smells amazing!” said Daniel.
They ordered 1kg of bread rolls and a quarter of bread, then Johana picked up a dozen facturas. “These will be perfect for breakfast tomorrow!” she said, as they added the pastries to their cart.
Next, they were off to the sport center to pick up a tennis racket for Daniel. “I’ve been wanting to practice tennis,” Daniel said, smiling. “Now I can finally start!”
The sport center was full of sports equipment, and soon Daniel found the perfect racket. He held it up proudly. “Look at this! Now I’m ready for some serious practice!”
Finally, with everything on their list checked off, the group headed to the museum. “We need to buy six tickets, right?” asked Lourdes.
